Charlotte Jackson

Piano Instructor

Ms. Charlotte Jackson grew up in rural Missouri surrounded by a family and town that loved music. She began her piano studies at the age of four and competed in the Missouri Music Teachers Association Pre-Collegiate Piano Competition for eleven years, frequently scoring superior ratings. In addition to piano, Charlotte was an active member of her school choirs and orchestra singing soprano and playing violin. In high school, you would find Charlotte on the tennis court, playing handbells at church, or participating in the community orchestra. In 2017, Charlotte received a full-tuition music scholarship to attend Concordia University, Nebraska where she earned a B.M. in Music Education and a B.A. in Music Performance in 2021. She graduated with high distinction and was awarded as the Outstanding Student in Music Education. Following graduation, she married her husband, Aaron, and they moved to Houston where she is currently in her second year of a master’s degree at the University of Houston. She is studying Piano Performance and Pedagogy under the instruction of Timothy Hester and Dr. Todd Van Kekerix. While completing her studies, she teaches group piano classes and private lessons at the University as part of her assistantship position. Charlotte enjoys working with students of all ages and learning abilities, teaching students between the ages of 4 and 40+! Charlotte actively applies her newly learned material in her lessons and classes and loves seeing her students grow musically. After graduation in 2023, she hopes to begin teaching full-time in a classroom setting with private piano students on the side.
